The fact that I have the ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from others.

Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond. I expect to lead. In the absence of order and leadership, I will take charge. I will lead my family, my community and all who are willing to follow, in order to empower and elevate those within my periphery. I will always lead by example in every situation.

I am committed; I will never quit. I persevere and thrive in adversity. My family, and all whom I lead expect me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than the enemy. If I get knocked down, I will get back up every time. I will draw from every spiritual resource to protect my home, my family and all that is trusted to my covering. I will complete my mission, or I will die on the battlefield fighting to achieve it. I will never quit. I am never out of the fight.

I am a part of the fellowship of committed warriors. The die has been cast; the decision has been made. I have stepped over the line. I will not look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am absolutely finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane thinking, chintzy giving and dwarfed goals.

My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is greatness, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, nor meander through the maze of mediocrity.

I will not give up, back up, let up, or shut up, until I have stayed up, built up, paid up and stored up for the purpose associated with my design. I will go until I breathe my last breath, give until I drop, teach until all know, and work until I transition. I will die on “E.” I will accomplish all that my design demands, or I will die on the battlefield fighting for it, for I am convinced that it is not the violence that sets a man apart but the distance he is willing to go. ~ Rick Wallace, Ph.D., Psy.D.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”
William Hutchison Murray
